Procedures:
- university diploma and a set of papers submitted duly and within the prescribed period;
- selection of the candidates according to their documents;
- an interview with the approved candidates;
- ranking and registration of candidates.
Qualification requirements and regulations:
In order to get their qualification students must be allocated 90 credits: 55,5 credits from compulsory courses, 13,5 from elective courses, 6 credits from optional courses and 15 credits from a Master’s thesis/a Diploma work.
Profile of the programme:
The program is designed for training of leaders and managers with professional interest in tourism industry. The study provides the necessary knowledge and skills for successful tourism management based on principles of sustainable development. Students learn about leadership in tourism, information and reservation tourist systems. opportunities for cultural tourism development . The program is oriented to acquiring skills for market analysis and ensuring organizational competitiveness on the global market, technology of developing and financing tourist projects. Most disciplines also contain a practical part, incl. teamwork, individual exercises and case studies to consolidate the acquired knowledge.
Key learning outcomes
After the completion of the Master’s degree program " Business Administration in Tourism” students know the basic principles of sustainable tourist management and their application at local, regional and national level. They are able to analyse the tourist market, to establish competitive advantages, to develop and manage tourist projects. Acquired leadership skills help students to create effective relations between members in a team.
Occupational profiles of graduates
The resulting education is a solid foundation for a successful managerial career in tourist business, to work as experts of tourism in government, NGOs, international organizations and research institutions, etc.
Access to further studies: Educational-and-qualification degree of Doctor (Ph.D.).
Examination regulations, assessment and grading: Specific for each discipline (coursework defence, projects, tasks or research papers, interim tests, participation in the development of team tasks, business games, etc.). The assessment is based on students’ activity during their study. During the classes students have the opportunity to submit works on selected topics from the disciplines included in the curriculum. The final assessment of the achieved results in the studied courses is a written exam and / or a coursework. An oral examination is also an option to form an overall grade.
Graduation requirements: Graduation by developing a Master's Thesis.
