Chernorizets Hrabar Free University of Varna is the first and so far, only Bulgarian university possessing an ECTS Label, awarded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) for successful implementation of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.

On 28 February 2010 Varna Free University received its third certification under ISO 9001:2008, being awarded certificates from UKAS (Great Britain) and ANAB (USA) for a validity period of 3 years.

DS Labels are awarded to institutions providing European Diploma Supplements to B.A. and M.A. graduates in conformity with the standards established by EC, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

The HR Excellence in Research Logo is awarded by the European Commission to universities, research and funding organizations abiding by the principles provided for in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct of Recruitment of Researchers.
