Vocational Technology Enhanced Learning: №UK/13/LLP-LdV/TOI-630, “Lifelong Learning Programme”, Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme, transfer of innovations.
On 01.10.2013 Vocational Technology Enhanced Learning (VocTEL) project was started. It is co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci sectoral programme and it sums up to 306 421.25 EUR.
The leading organization in the project is Trinity Saint David College, Carmarthen, Wales, United Kingdom and the other partner organizations are Westdowns AB, Sweden; Cyprus University, Cyprus; E&X Themeli O.E., Greece; Excellia, Bulgaria.
The main purpose of the project is to enable the transfer of innovations from Trinity University College through post-diploma certificate VocTEL. All participants from different fields will be able to improve their theoretical and practical skills through adopting various computer-based technologies – planning and applying these technologies, the learning and the questions, related to the practical aspects of the vocational training.
The participants in the project will get in contact with other European and non European professionals and lecturers through various innovative online communication methods. The programme aims to benefit the parties that participate in it as they coordinate between each other sharing their diverse experience.
The project also aims to raise awareness amongst the business and lecturers about new methods in vocational training. They will be tailored to the needs of each of the countries and later on further expanded geographically.
After the end of the project the Vocational Training Centre of VFU will be given the right to implement electronic technologies in the teaching process which will enable them to develop and conduct online training. In the meantime, all the applicants, interested in getting the post-diploma certificate, will be trained to use the new methods. In practice, this means applying the latest European standards for vocational education and qualifications.
