Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomed the students from the editorial board of the only Varna newspaper "NahODKi" and the representatives of the school "Youth Parliament - European Bridge" at the Municipal Children's Complex - Varna. The visit was part of the initiative Communications Workshop, organized by the PR Department of the university and the Media Center.
The young journalists, with their managers Dobrinka Kostova and Emilian Yalamov, demonstrated activity and strong interest in topics related to communications and the media. During the event, they asked a number of questions and exchanged ideas with the experts from the university. The conversations focused on contemporary trends in journalism, digital communication and the importance of media literacy in the dynamic world of information.
The students visited the University Library, where they had the opportunity to get to know the archival issues of the VFU newspaper "Chernorizets Hrabar". This sparked interest and gave rise to a discussion about the development of print media and the challenges they face in the digital age.
Then, the participants in the Communications Workshop visited the university’s radio and television center. There, they learned the basic principles of working in front of a camera and microphone. The experts – Miloslava Georgieva and Dr. Petar Pavlov gave them valuable tips for effective media presentation and building persuasive communication, which helped the young reporters gain a better understanding of the techniques used in professional journalism.
The visit resulted in new knowledge and friendships for the participants.
We look forward to the next meetings and future joint initiatives.
