Yani Yanev speaks in front of Varna Radio: “We give the students from the Faculty of Law the opportunity to do scientific research and get knowledge”

"Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is already working on the Student Legal Science Academy, aimed at students from the Faculty of Law". The news was announced on Varna Radio by Yani Yanev - Vice President of the University. The event is under the patronage of Mr. Yanev and provides an opportunity for students to take their first steps in the scientific research and present their developments in the field of law.Within the framework of the academy, participants will prepare reports in Bulgarian, in accordance with published criteria on the VFU website. So far, six applications and the first report have been submitted. The deadline for participation is April 30th, 2025 - by then students must send their applications and reports in electronic format to the email: syuns@vfu.bg, using only their official university email.
The authors of the three best reports will be awarded at the end of May. The award has a financial value and includes the presentation of the reports before the summer session of the Faculty of Law and their publication in a special scientific collection. The evaluation will be carried out by a jury consisting of university lecturers.
“This is a competition aimed at our students. Our goal is to stimulate their creativity, independent thinking and scientific research activity,” emphasized Yani Yanev in his conversation with the journalist Ivan Barbov.
Mr. Yanev also spoke about the upcoming National Student Competition in Criminal Law on April 5th, which will be held at Varna Free University. 13 teams from 6 Bulgarian universities will participate in it. The event is an initiative of the Lawyer’s Club “Prof. Tamara Hinova” at the Student Council.
