Over 60 scientific reports written by scientists from 5 countries on the subject of applied psychology and social practice are being discussed at Varna Free University. The first report in the conference was presented by Prof. Ludmil Georgiev, who spoke about the teachings of Petar Dunov or the art of healthy living. According to him, after the Bulgarian alphabet and the Bogomilism, this is the third Bulgarian contribution to the world that remains unrecognized in our country. The plenary report provoked the participants into a heated discussion on the topic.
The trainings for personal development and self-awareness are discussed in the report by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov, who is the head of the Department of Psychology at the university that organizes the forum.
"This is something that dates back to very early periods of human development. Unfortunately, with the digitalization, people become lonelier and lonelier and all over the world there is a revival of classical understandings for the group process, or to put it mildly, of communication and sharing emotions between people", pointed out Assoc. Prof. Ivanov.
The conference traditionally gathers leading scientists and researchers from prestigious universities and scientific institutes in Bulgaria and abroad. Among the participants are students, doctoral students, lecturers and scientists from Paisiy Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, Varna Medical University Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov, the Institute for Population and Human Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Science and VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". International participation is represented by researchers from Poland and Israel who will enrich the discussions with new perspectives and ideas.
The young scientists are given the opportunity to present their scientific developments and receive valuable guidance from established specialists in the field. Among the participants are students studying psychology, law, preschool pedagogy and Bulgarian language and literature. They have the opportunity to discuss their ideas and projects with leading scientists and practitioners, which will enrich their academic experience and provide them with new development opportunities.
The conference will also provide a platform for the participation of practitioners, who will share their experiences and views on current issues and challenges in the field of applied psychology and social practice. The exchange of knowledge and experience will contribute to the development of effective solutions and approaches in professional practice.
