With the campaign Blood is Your Superpower, VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" helped save 42 human lives
Nearly 7000 ml of blood was collected during the blood donation campaign Blood is Your Superpower, organized by the Student Council at Varna Free University, together with the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology - Varna. This means that students, lecturers and employees together helped save 42 human lives.
The mobile ambulance donated by 'I Believe and Help' has arrived at the university, and the station worked at full stretch, thanks to the professionalism of the team from the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology and the huge response from the academic community.
The first blood donors were the first-year students, who donated blood for the first time in their lives. Just a week ago, they met Vladislav Nikolov, founder of the charity campaign 'I Believe and Help', who was a special guest in the lecture course "Global Problems and Solutions", taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova. The story of the campaign, told by Vladi himself, stirred the hearts and minds of many students.
Teodor Tanchev, a 4th-year student majoring in Business Administration and Management donated blood for the 15th time. Teodor is a kind of record holder among students in the noble donation and we congratulate him!
Blood donors received a free one-month sports card provided by ‘Multisport’!
Due to the great interest and the impossibility of all those wishing to donate blood for free yesterday, the Radio Varna team invited blood donors on December 4th to the mobile point, which will be located in front of the Radio Varna building at 22 Primorski Blvd. Everyone can donate blood from 12pm to 4 pm.
The academic community of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has shown once again that the university is a place of strong and kind-hearted young people who want to help and change the world.
