At the age of 92, on November 1, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Masis Berzh Hadzholyan, distinguished lawyer, public figure, long-time teacher and "Honorary Professor of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" left us forever.
Massis Hadzholyan was among the key lecturers who, in October 1991, began training the first students of Varna Free University. He was among the founders of the Faculty of Law, to which he was a vice-dean and later dean. He taught the legal matter, enriching it with his invaluable experience as a long-term district attorney of Varna. Masis Hadjolyan was among the founders and pioneers in the establishment of the faculties and majors of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", working hard alongside the great names of Bulgarian science - Prof. D.Sc. Tamara Hinova, Prof. D.Sc. Danail Danailov, Prof. Zdravko Traikov, Prof. D.Sc. Boyan Stankov, Prof. D.Sc. Doyno Doynov, etc.
In 2022, by decision of the Academic Council of Varna Free University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Masis Hadzholyan was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" for his dedicated work for the development of the university, as well as for his merits in promoting and strengthening the image of the university. The honorary title was also awarded in connection with his 90th anniversary.
Even today, his graduates share that, in addition to his love for law and science, Masis Hadzholyan was able to pass on to them his personal example of uncompromising morality, justice, impartiality, honor and dedication. His name will be a benchmark for a value system not only among graduates of the Faculty of Law, but also for generations of students who connected their professional development with political science, social activities, administration, economics, journalism and the arts.
The funeral mass will take place on November 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of the Central Cemetery Park, Varna central cemetery.
