Students from Varna Free University volunteered in the
Present Me with a Dream project of the Association for Support of People with Mental Disabilities - Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration "Chaika", within the framework of a social service for disabled youth. These are Yana Stoyanova - 3rd year student, majoring in Fashion Design, Radina Georgieva and Stanimira Ilieva, fourth year students majoring in Graphic Design.
With a lot of talent, our girls created inspiring designs for "products with a cause" - t-shirts and tote bags. They will be presented at a special fashion show organized by the Association for the Support of People with Mental Disabilities, which will be held on October 11, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at the “Otets Paisiy” Community Center in Varna. T-shirts can be ordered, through a message on the Center's Facebook page, and will be presented at charity bazaars and exhibitions of social enterprises.
"I want to express my sincere admiration and gratitude to Yana, Stanimira and Radina. They not only created wonderful designs, but their presence, attitude, motivation and commitment were impressive!" said Plamena Koycheva, head of the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration. According to her, the presence of university students in various initiatives and causes will contribute to the development of an entrepreneurial spirit and the future professional realization of young people.
Our university is proud of the commitment of our students and supports them in their initiatives for social engagement and entrepreneurship. The
Present Me with a Dream initiative they joined not only helps people with disabilities, but also inspires young people to be active participants in society in order to develop useful and meaningful ideas.
Look out for the inspiring messages and wonderful designs of our students, which will be published immediately after the official launch on October 11th.
