VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" PRESENTS ITS SPECIALTIES TO THE STUDENTS FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGES "YOAN EKZARH" - VARNA

Today, a team from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is at the High School for Foreign Languages "Yoan Ekzarh" - Varna, where they participate in the exhibition "KEEP FORWARD!" – EDUCATION FOR MY FUTURE 2023”. The talented graduates of the language high school have a strong interest in the bachelor's and master's majors offered by VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" after completing their secondary education.
Gergana Atanasova, a graduate of the elite high school, who is a third-year student majoring in Law and a member of the Student Council of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", also takes a special part at our stand. Last year, she was awarded the "Student of the Year" prize in the field of "Legal Sciences" by the National Representation of Student Councils. She is the recipient of a named award of the Municipality of Varna for 2022. Gergana was part of the Bulgarian student team that represented our country at #ConSIMium - the simulation of the Council of the European Union in February 2023.
The candidate student campaign of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" for admission to the majors after completing secondary education has been opened. Traditionally, the interest of prospective students in Law is strong. And this year, the application to the specialty is with the grades from the state school leaving exam in Bulgarian language and literature and the average score from the diploma for completed secondary education. Training in the field of security at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has nearly 30 years of history and traditions. Leading scientists and lecturers are involved in it. This is also one of the reasons why Protection of National Security and Crime Prevention and Public Order Protection are among the most preferred majors by prospective students. The high interest in Psychology is still maintained.
During the new academic year, students in the specialties of the professional fields Administration and Management, Economics, Informatics and Computer Sciences and Psychology will be able to choose between broad-based training with the acquisition of a second major or more specialized training without an increase duration and tuition fees. Varna Free University has re-signed its contract with BI Norwegian Business School for the implementation of the joint bachelor's programme in International Business, which gives students the opportunity to simultaneously obtain 2 prestigious diplomas in 2 majors from 2 universities. Norwegian Business School is among the leading universities in Europe and holds three international accreditations called the Triple Crown.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is a leader in education in the specialties Architecture, Construction of Buildings and Facilities and Fire and Emergency Safety in Eastern Bulgaria. And this year Graphic Design, Interior Design and Fashion Design programmes attract the attention of prospective students. The interest in Choreography is indisputable, provoked by the successful realization of music and dance art graduates. The arts are the jewel in the university crown of Varna Free University. They create a balance between new and traditional humanitarian knowledge.
Varna Free University is the only university in Bulgaria with an accredited distance learning bachelor's degree programme in Informatics and Computer Science. The high quality of education attracts students from different cities from the country. The interest of foreign students in the English language majors - Informatics and Computer Science, International Business, as well as in the master's and doctoral programmes of the university has increased.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" implements educational cooperation with state higher schools and foreign universities by creating joint innovative master's programmes. Varna Free University is actively working on three projects financed by the Science and Education for Smart Growth operational programme.
