Varna Free University has launched its new master's degree programme in Intelligent Security Systems, which is taught in Turkish. The first class of students in the programme includes representatives of the Association of Fire Brigades from the Turkish city of Tekirdag. The first module of the training includes lecturers from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, representatives of the emergency services – police, ambulance assistance, fire brigade, the Single European emergency number 112, the Municipality of Varna, etc.
The master's programme includes training related to modern systems for space monitoring and forecasting the risk of natural disasters and those caused by human action, as well as issues of population protection, material and cultural values, sustainable development of society.
Varna Free University has nearly 30 years of experience and traditions in training foreign students in the field of national security. Among the excellent examples of partnership with the Turkish Fire Brigades is the training of 300 firefighters, who are the first firefighters with a higher engineering education in our southern neighbor country, and 25 Turkish specialists were trained in the doctoral degree in Occupational Safety Techniques and Fire Fighting Techniques.
The launch of the master's programme in Intelligent Security Systems in Turkish reflects Varna Free University's commitment to internationalization and development by providing educational opportunities to students from different countries.
