VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" IS A LEADING PARTNER IN THE FINANCIAL LITERACY PROJECT

A partnership meeting attended by participants in the project "Financial Literacy for Community Development" #2022-1-BG01-KA220-SCH-000087865 was held in Helsinki, Finland. Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the leading organization in the project. The meeting was attended by representatives of Yavuz Selim Ortaokulu, Turkey; Platon M.E.P.E., Greece; Universal Learning Systems Ltd, Ireland; Context Learning Finland Oy, Finland; South- West University "Neofit Rilski" - Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria; Yenilikçi Eğitim Derneği, Turkey; IIS Albert Einstein, Italy.

The results from the testing and pilot implementation of financial literacy lessons for school education in the participating partner schools of the project were presented during the event. The financial literacy educational material in the developed digital e-book was discussed. The design, content and development of the project's digital portal for financial literacy, as well as the website and social media channels, were also presented and discussed.

The digital portal will enable students and teachers to access financial content on financial literacy modules prepared in the digital book. The portal will allow students to perform simulations of calculating credits, withdrawing money, depositing and monitoring financial transactions in a virtual environment, saving, budgeting, managing personal finances, etc. The digital portal will also be used for hands-on training in financial literacy.
Recommendations were made for the continued promotion of the progress and development of the project's digital products, as well as the financial literacy of students and the public through various advertising means and channels from the project partners. The activities of management, dissemination of results and reporting of the project were also discussed. The application of financial literacy among students in Finland was presented by Sari Lounasmeri. The event was hosted by Context Learning Finland Oy, Finland.
