9.00 - 9.15: Opening of the event
9.15-10.45: Author workshop : How to get published and gain recognition?
The principles and best practices of academic publishing at every stage will be discussed during the session: from drafting, submitting and publishing to post-publication practices that increase the visibility of the publication. Participants will learn best practices how to select the right journal, as well as the ethics of publishing, the role and importance of Open Access and OpenScience. This session is a summary of research communication activities and builds on the experiences of researchers, editors, and readers.
10.45-11.15: Coffee break
11.15-12.15: Scopus data – collection, storage and use.
This presentation will show what Scopus data submission process looks like. It will explain how Elsevier guarantees the quality of the data and the process of collecting and maintaining that data. The lecturers will also focus on some examples of using Scopus data. Participants will also get acquainted with analyzes of the results of research in Slovakia based on Scopus data.
12.15-12.30: Discussion session
Lecturers will be Elsevier representatives for the region Katarzyna Gaca - Zajac, PhD and Katya Kryszczuk. The training will be held in English and is aimed at PhD students, lecturers and editors of scientific magazines.
