The Department of Arts at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomed students from the Higher School of Art and Design in Brno, the Czech Republic. The school has traditions, highly qualified teachers and constantly updating specialties. The group that came to Varna Free University consists of students majoring in different specialties, such as Interior Design, Interior and Textile, Motion Design, Ecotextile, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Product Design. The Czech students are led by the teachers in drawing and modeling - David Baranek and Martina Hanakova.
The students were interested in the workshop "Three-dimensional modeling of a costume for the stage" taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kapka Manasieva at Varna Free University. They attended the Opening Ceremony of the new academic year and had a meeting with teachers from the Faculty of Architecture. They met with students and watched the preparation of the Academic Dance Theater for the ceremony. A dance workshop was organized for them and under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Ivaylo Ivanov they learned Bulgarian folk dances.
The graduates of the Higher School of Art and Design presented their university and talked about the project that the Czech school is implementing this year in Bulgaria. It is called "DO SVĚTA! - "Towards the world" and aims at cooperation between Varna and the South Moravian region.
