The solemn ceremony for the opening of the new academic year at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will be held on September 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. in Aula Maxima. Among the participants will be representatives of the academic management, students, lecturers, guests and partners.
This year, the university pays special attention to the growing number of foreign students. Currently, about 500 university and doctoral students from over 40 countries, including the USA, Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine, China, India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Cameroon, etc. choose to study at VFU "Chernorizets Hraber". The bachelor programmes, in which the international students are mostly interested are International Business, Informatics and Computer Science, Graphic Design, Psychology. The most preferred master's programmes are International Business Project Management (taught in English), Intelligent Security Systems (taught in Turkish), Data Science (taught in English) and Psychology. This interest emphasizes the international prestige of the university and the high quality of the education offered.
During the ceremony, Makandju Nanyamka-Adju Nkululeko from California, USA, who will study in the master's programme Management of International Business Projects, will make a speech on behalf of the students.
On the same day, the first shared Erasmus space, available to students 24/7, will be opened at the university. It is located in Building A and is a natural connection between the dormitory and the study halls, offering a comfortable environment for collaborative work and independent study.
Immediately after the official opening, the introductory day for first-year students will also begin. They will have the opportunity to get to know the lecturers, academic mentors, representatives of the Student Council, as well as the teams of the various administrative units at the university.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" strengthens its position as a key private higher education institution in Bulgaria, expanding its international partnerships and implementing innovations in the educational process.
