VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" CELEBRATES MAY 24 WITH A VARNA AWARD FOR THE LECTURER PROF. D.SC. IVAN RUSCHEV

The lecturer at Varna Free University - Prof. D.Sc. Ivan Ruschev received an individual Varna award for science and higher education in the field of social sciences. He was nominated by the academic management of the university for his professionalism, overall contribution to the organization and implementation of teaching and research activities, as well as for raising the level of knowledge in students from the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Traditionally, Varna Award was presented on the eve of May 24 - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and the Slavic literature, at a special ceremony in the Yunashki Hall. 28 individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in the field of culture, science and education were awarded the Varna Award for 2022. The nominations were approved unanimously by the Municipal Council.
Ivan Ruschev has been a professor of law since 2008. He has been a doctor of law since 2016 and a corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences since 2021. He has been teaching at Varna Free University for 20 years. In 2017 he was awarded an honorary medal of merit at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
He was an arbitrator in the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and in the Arbitration Court at the European Chamber of Law. He is a member of the Legal Council of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. Official expert at The National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) and member of the Programme Council of the National Institute of Justice.
Corresponding Member Prof. D.Sc. Ivan Ruschev is the author of over 200 works of high theoretical value, oriented not only to the doctrine, but also constitute an important contribution to judicial practice. He has made a significant contribution to raising the level of law training of students at the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University.
