Varna Free University Hosts a Public Lecture Dedicated to the Philosophy of Design in Architecture

Varna Free University hosts a public lecture dedicated to the philosophy of design in architecture, which will be held on December 3rd, 2024 at 10 am in the Academic and Sports Complex, Hall 2. It will be presented by the key Italian architect and lecturer Prof. Arch. Agostino Bossi - Professor of Architecture at the University of Naples "Federico II".
A day earlier - on December 2nd, 2024, at 6 pm, the exhibition 'Art from Earth in the Land of Art - Traditional Neapolitan Terracotta' will be opened at the House of Architects in Varna. The event is organized with the support of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia and the Union of Architects in Bulgaria. The exhibition presents the unique art of Neapolitan ceramics through reliefs and pencil and pastel drawings by the artist Agostino Bossi. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the philosophy of design in architecture, as well as the traditional technique and style of the Neapolitan school, which has preserved its authenticity over the centuries. The event will also include a screening of a documentary film by director Ron Kenley, dedicated to the history and importance of ceramic art.
The official programme will begin with welcoming remarks by Dr. Maria Mazza, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arch. Plamen Petrov - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at VFU "Chernrorizets Hrabr", who will present the exhibition.
