VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" PARTICIPATED IN THE PANORAMA OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN VIDIN

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" participated in Panorama of Higher Education, organized by the Center for Personal Development Support and Counseling in Vidin. The event was held under the patronage of the mayor of the Municipality of Vidin, Dr. Tsvetan Tsenkov.
The panorama attracted high school students, school-leavers, parents and teachers, who got acquainted with the possibilities of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the various programmes that the university offers for post-secondary education, the possibilities for applying, the educational exchange with various European universities, the professional realization and development of our graduates.
The candidate student campaign of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" for admission to its majors after completing secondary education is in progress. Varna Free University is preferred by more and more graduates from language and mathematics high schools, as well as elite schools from all over the country. The students who study at the university rated it Excellent 5.61 for the quality of the learning process. Among the advantages they point out are the personal attitude, the quality of teaching, cooperation with business, opportunities for practices and internships at home and abroad, as well as the excellent university base. Varna Free University provides added value for the realization of its students.
Traditionally, there is a strong interest of prospective students towards Law. This year again, one can apply to the specialty using the grades from the state school-leaving exam in Bulgarian language and literature and the average success from the diploma for completed secondary education. Training in the field of security at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has nearly 30 years of history and traditions. Well-known scientists and teachers are involved. This is also one of the reasons the most preferred majors by prospective students, along with Law, to be Protection of National Security and Crime Prevention and Public Order Protection. There has always been high interest in Psychology.
During the new academic year, students in the specialties of the professional fields Administration and Management, Economics, Informatics and Computer Sciences and Psychology will be able to choose between broad-based training with the acquisition of a second major or more specialized training without an increase duration and tuition fees. Varna Free University has re-signed its contract with BI Norwegian Business School for the implementation of the joint bachelor's programme in International Business, which gives students the opportunity to simultaneously obtain 2 prestigious diplomas in 2 majors from 2 universities. Norwegian Business School is among the leading universities in Europe and holds three international accreditations called the Triple Crown.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is a leader in education in the specialties Architecture, Construction of Buildings and Facilities and Fire and Emergency Safety in Eastern Bulgaria. And this year Graphic Design, Interior Design and Fashion Design programmes attract the attention of prospective students. The interest in Choreography is indisputable, provoked by the successful realization of music and dance art graduates. The arts are the jewel in the university crown of Varna Free University. They create a balance between new and traditional humanitarian knowledge.
Varna Free University is the only university in Bulgaria with an accredited distance learning bachelor's degree programme in Informatics and Computer Science. The high quality of education attracts students from different cities from the country. The interest of foreign students in the English language majors - Informatics and Computer Science, International Business, as well as in the master's and doctoral programmes of the university has increased.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" implements educational cooperation with state higher schools and foreign universities by creating joint innovative master's programmes. Varna Free University is actively working on three projects financed by the Science and Education for Smart Growth operational programme.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the first Bulgarian university to be certified according to ISO 14001:2015 for environmental protection. The university is changing both the environment and the quality of learning, meeting the highest sustainability standards based on educational, economic, environmental and social criteria. Topics related to climate change and the green transition are represented in the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes of the university.
