Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was unanimously accepted as a member of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) at the National Council held on February 9, 2024.
"I express confidence that VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" will actively participate in the activities of BICA to achieve its goals and the priorities set for this and the following years," says the letter from the chairperson of BICA's Board of Directors Vasil Velev to the president of the Varna Free University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov.
The Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association was founded in 1996 and is the most dynamically developing nationally representative organization of Bulgarian business. It is the organization of employers in Bulgaria with the widest representation. Its members are over 100 industry chambers, representing 3/4 of the economic activities in the country, over 10,000 companies providing employment to nearly 500,000 people. BICA has established itself as a spokesperson for the real production sector, protects the interests of its members in front of the executive and legislative authorities at the national and European level, influences the development of the regulatory framework and policies in the economic sector, works systematically to increase the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises for creating a favorable business environment and stimulating the Bulgarian economy as a whole.
The association is also a member of SGI Europe - the European Center of Employers and Enterprises with Public Participation and Enterprises Providing Services of General Interest. It is a member of the European Economic and Social Council, and also of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria.
