THE TRAINING UNDER THE PROJECT BULGARIA: AGAINST AGGRESSION IN SPORTS BEGAN WITH A CLINK OF MEDALS

The training of young sportspeople and sports journalists under the project Bulgaria: Against Aggression in Sports started with a clink of medals. The start was given by Yani Yanev - chairperson of the Management Board of the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna and vice president of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". A special greeting to the forum was sent by Rumyana Neykova - Olympic rowing champion and honorary member of the academic staff of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The opening of the forum was also honoured by Penka Anastasova - an expert at the Sports Directorate of Varna Municipality. In 2019, Varna has been declared European city of sport.




"Do not confuse aggression with sports grudge," wished the participants in the project Georgi Mirchev - chairperson of the Zonal Council of the Bulgarian Sports Federation. The event is attended by the basketball star Bozhidar Avramov - player of Levski Lukoil and also of the national team of Bulgaria, and the gold medalist in martial arts in the European Championship in Minsk'2019, Ivet Goranova, as well as many young journalists and athletes - champions. Special guests were the young basketball players from the Stars Club.


The training is conducted by lecturers of Varna Free University. They will teach the students in the new bachelor's and master's degree major in Sports Management. The top lecturers of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" in the areas of psychology, informatics, sports, national security and digital marketing have prepared topics related to the analysis and assessment of emotions, economy of aggression in sports, personal protection and physical self-defence as a means of reducing aggression and others. Tomorrow, lecturers from the Department of Informatics at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will acquaint the participants with an analysis of the use of social networks by sports clubs and sportspeople in Bulgaria, as well as with the novelties in the effective online media positioning and current "online helpers" for sports journalists and sportspeople who can make publications more effective and unique.




The football match between youths, journalists and sportspeople is expected with a great interest. It is to take place on the open ground of the Sport Palace on 20 July (Saturday) at 7 pm. The participants will demonstrate fair play and sportsmanship. 

The event will end on 21 July with a round table discussion, starting at 10.00.

The project Bulgaria: Against Aggression in Sports 2019 aims to build socially responsible behaviour in 30 young people, including sports journalists and sportspeople aged under 29 who are directly or indirectly associated with various forms of aggression, as well as to recognise the types of addiction.

The project Bulgaria: Against Aggression in Sports 2019 of the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna, is implemented with the financial support of the National Programme for the Implementation of Youth Activities under Art. 10a of the Gambling Act 2019, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria.
