The Student Council of Varna Free University elected a new chairperson

Doroteya Nikolaeva, a first-year student of Architecture, was elected chairperson of the Student Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" at a joint delegation meeting today. Doroteya is a graduate of Vasil Levski Vocational School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Varna. Her term as a chairperson of the Student Council is 2019 - 2021.
Two nominees for the election of a chairperson - Doroteya Nikolaeva and the second-year law student Antonio Tonchev - were present today before the group persons in charge. Doroteya has been a member of the Student Council for one semester and Antonio for a year and a half. He is also a representative of the student community of the Council of the Department of Legal Sciences and a member of the Board of the Faculty of Law. The two presented their concepts and ideas for developing the council and the student community at Varna Free University, uniting the view that the value events organized by the Student Council should continue.
The outgoing chairperson, Stefan Daskalov, gave an account of the activity of the Council during the past two years, emphasizing the already established events that have become traditional for the University - the Student Scientific Session, the Career Day organized together with the Career Centre of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", the march to the summit of Shipka on 3 March – Bulgaria’s National holiday, together with the Russian Centre of the higher education institution and the Scientific Forum organized by the Faculty of International Economics and Administration. Sali Svetoslavov - deputy chairperson and Victoria Todorova - secretary participated actively in the report of the activities. The group persons in charge thanked the Student Council team for their active work.
Mihaela Milcheva was presented before the delegation meeting. She has two years of experience at the Student Council, and at the end of the last semester she was appointed secretary.
The new chairperson, Doroteya Nikolaeva, invited Antonio Tonchev and Ivan Draganov - a first-year student of Construction of Buildings and Structures as deputy chairpersons of the Student Council. The proposal will be discussed at the next Council meeting.
