THE SPORTS TEAM OF VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" TOOK PART IN AN EVENT TOGETHER WITH FAVORIT SPORT CLUB FROM THE TOWN OF DIMITROVGRAD

A bilateral kickboxing and Muay Thai control event was held in the town of Dimitrovgrad between the athletes of the Sports Club "Favorite" and the student team of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", led by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Uzunov.
The guest of the event was the director of the European and National Programmes and Projects and Humanitarian Activities Directorate in Dimitrovgrad Municipality, Diana Doncheva. She awarded the participants in the event.
The first-year students in Protection of National Security Kristiyan Yordanov - multiple republican and European kickboxing champion and Martin Zahariev, as well as the fourth-year student in Psychology Polina Galinova are among the contestants from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". At the end of October this year, she won her 26th republican title in the category up to 56 kg in the heavy "K1" style. Polina is a two-time world champion in kickboxing for juniors and cadets. In December 2020, she became the Balkan vice-champion in the international kickboxing tournament Balkan Best Fighters in the Serbian city of Jagodina, and in March 2021 she won her first national kickboxing championship. Last year, she won gold medal at the State Low Kick Kickboxing Championship up to 56 kilograms, which was held in Varna. Since 2016, he has been part of the Bulgarian national kickboxing team.
She is a competitor and coach in SC "Shumenska Krepost", and her coach is her father - Galin Metodiev.
The participants committed themselves to organize similar sporting events in the future.
