Vladislav Nikolov, founder of the charity campaign 'I Believe and Help', was a special guest in the lecture course Global Problems and Solutions, taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova. The story of the campaign, told by Vladi himself, stirred the hearts and minds of the freshmen. He spoke of his inspiring journey of hard work, perseverance, dedication, self-sacrifice and hope, as proof that togetherness and volunteerism can change the world.
From a simple idea, the campaign 'I Believe and Help' grew into a symbol for thousands of Bulgarians, united by the mission to protect both nature and human life. Ten years later, the initiative continues to gain strength, having collected and handed over 350,000 kg of plastic caps for recycling, and as a result, they have donated:
► valuable medical equipment,
► children's ambulance
►mobile blood donation station.
In support of the cause, the Student Council of Varna Free University produced and donated metal hearts – containers for collecting caps, which were placed in schools and kindergartens. There is also a container for caps in the bar area of Varna Free University.
Vladi Nikolov emphasized that 'I Believe and Help' is not just a campaign, but a way of life and thinking. "Not a single lev has been used for salaries or the expenses of our team, we do everything selflessly - for the people who are in need. Therefore - think! Think about how you spend resources, what you will use your time for, how you will manage our city and country. Do it selflessly - with a pure heart and a free soul," he told the students.
On November 22, for the second consecutive year, the mobile ambulance of the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology, which is a donation from 'I Believe and Help' will arrive at Varna Free University. Everyone will have the opportunity to donate blood and thus continue the chain of kindness that drives the cause of Vladislav and his volunteers.
The story of 'I Believe and Help' is not just a story about a campaign - it is a story of humanity, kindness, strength and about people who do not seek awards, but strive to change the world for the better.
