THE LANGUAGE AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING IN THE PREPARATORY COURSE OF VFU AIMED AT FOREIGN CITIZENS STARTED TODAY

On November 19, 2024, at the Language Center of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Post-graduate Qualification at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", in a solemn atmosphere, started the training in Bulgarian and English in the preparatory course for language and specialized training aimed at foreign citizens. During the current academic year, over thirty foreigners have enrolled in the course. They come from: Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Serbia, Bangladesh and Nigeria.
Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina - Dean of Students and Event Management, Dr. Boryana Kostova - Director of the Department of Foreign Language Training and Postgraduate Qualification, Mr. Nikolay Dragoev - Head of the Educational Marketing and Student Admissions Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Marinov – Scientific Secretary of the Department wished successful and fruitful training to the students and also gave some explanations regarding the organization and conduct of the educational activity in the course.
In order to increase knowledge, skills and competencies in both languages - Bulgarian and English and for a deeper understanding of the history, culture and traditions of the Bulgarian people, in addition to the classroom classes, it is planned to have external training in several museums of the city of Varna and traditional language practice under the title 'The Old Capitals of Bulgaria' within the framework of the preparatory course, as it is always done. The course participants expressed their desire and readiness to actively participate in the learning process, as well as in other cultural and educational events organized by the university.
