THE FIRST CLASS OF STUDENTS FROM THE DENTAL ASSISTANT COURSE GRADUATED

The first class of 14 students successfully graduated from the qualification course for the acquisition of the third degree of professional qualification in the profession ‘Dental Assistant’, organized by the Center for Professional Training at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". Along with a certificate of professional qualification, the course participants also received a Europass application to a certificate valid in EU countries. The event took place in the Medical-Dental Center "Swiss Dentaprime" Ltd. - Varna and was honored by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at Varna Free University, Prof. D.Sc. Anna Nedyalkova and the vice president of the university Yani Yanev.

“With this course, we fulfill one of the missions of Varna Free University - to establish a successful connection between science and business," said Yani Yanev in his speech. He wished the graduates to continue learning throughout their lives. "In the face of Varna Free University, we have not only an excellent partner, but also a good friend," added Yulia Radeva - manager of the "Swiss Dentaprime" Medical-Dental Center. Prof. Nedyalkova told the graduating class that knowledge is the most significant investment in professional development.

The training of the students lasted 9 months and was carried out in partnership with the Medical-Dental Center "Swiss Dentaprime" Ltd. - Varna. The disciplines in general professional training were taught by university lecturers, and leading dental practitioners taught the disciplines in specialized training. The training is in accordance with Ordinance No. 25 of November 7, 2018 for the acquisition of a qualification in the profession of ‘Dental Assistant’. The qualification course has 960 academic hours, with theory training in a distance form, and training and production placement - in a daily form of training in a high-tech working environment at the "Swiss Dentaprime" MDC.
Those who have acquired this qualification can assist dental specialists in the provision of dental medical care in medical facilities for primary and specialized dental medical care, registered under the Law on Medical Facilities (LMF), as well as in doing preventive examinations, in the treatment process and during the recovery period. They can work in outpatient clinics (individual and group practices) for primary or specialized dental-medical care, in dental or medical-dental centers.
