THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CAREERS IN BUSINESS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT A CONFERENCE AT VFU "CHERNORIZETZ HRABAR"

The International Business Conference entitled "Science and Business for Smart Future", organized for the third time by the Faculty of International Economics and Administration of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", will be held on 14 and 15 June 2019 at the university.
During the forum, research practices in favour of business, the partnership of universities and companies, the creation and inclusion of research groups will be discussed. Partner interdisciplinary research in the field of medicine and computer science will be presented.

Special attention of the conference will be given to research-based careers and the development of research teams for business purposes. Students and PhD students will present real business projects developed in the bachelor's degree programme in Informatics and Computer Science and in the master’s degree programmes in Entrepreneurship, Architecture, Circular Economy, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Data Science. The conference will also include students from elite Varna secondary schools invited to participate in the research groups that will be presented and will participate in research internships at the university in the summer.

A team of the professional area of Informatics and Computer Science of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" works in partnership with a team of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna on analysis of biomedical images. The VFU team explores the possibilities of applying different algorithms, including the use of neuronal networks to expedite the medical image analysis process. The goal of collaborative work is to accelerate specific medical research.

The joint research work between Varna Free University and the business will be demonstrated with the line of "smart" garments developed by the Varna company Quanterall Smart Clothing, the idea of which was born at the same conference last year.
The innovative solutions for both "smart" homes and "smart" monuments developed by the students of Informatics and Computer Sciences and the students of Architecture will be among the interesting demonstrations in the "Open Smart City" panel.
During the opening of the conference, two Bulgarian students who have obtained their bachelor’s degrees in Denmank, will be awarded their master’s degree diplomas. They chose VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", where they studied with scholarships from the Danish government and graduated in Data Science (Nelly Chakarova) and Digital Marketing and Web Design (Rostislav Dimitrov).
