Students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" actively participated in the "Varna - A City Kissed by the Sea" project and were engaged in the creation of short films that tell the unknown history of our 100-year-old tourist and sea capital. The project involved Doroteya Dimitrova, Dimana Yotovska, Boyan Karliev and Tsvetan Mitev – second-year students of Architecture, Trayana Yordanova and Vanesa Rosenova – third-year students, and Dorothea Nikolaeva – fourth- year student of Architecture.
Doroteya Dimitrova met with Igor Lazarenko, director of the Regional History Museum in Varna. Together with the camera of the youth media Youthstreet.eu, they peeked into the treasures of the museum and revealed unknown moments from the millennial past of the city, which greatly impresses tourists and guests of the sea capital.
The future architects, who study at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", will soon tell the general public 10 interesting facts about the architecture of Varna as a resort town.
Boyan Karliev will be the host of the series dedicated to the magic of the sea and the purifying power of sea water. He will share the secrets of the old Varna restaurants, which gathered the city's intelligentsia and culinary masterpieces, leading the ranking of tourists.
The students of Varna Free University received an invitation to participate in the series implemented by young people for young people from the Press Club Varna Association. The project is in the context of the priority theme for this year of the Culture Fund "100 years of Varna resort town" and is implemented with the support of the Culture Fund of the Municipality of Varna.
"I admire the intelligence, creativity and ingenuity of the students who participated in the project. Some of the most active participants are the students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". They were remarkable for their responsibility and dedication. Thanks to their work the young people to whom the series is directed, will learn curious details about the architecture, culture, history and natural resources of Varna, which make it a unique place and attractive centre for tourists for the last 100 years", commented Plamena Nikolova, President of Varna Press Club and project manager.
