STUDENTS FROM VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WITH DIPLOMAS FROM THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR FOR THEIR CAMPAIGN AGAINST TELEPHONE CON MEN

The Director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Varna - Chief Commissioner Daniel Pashov, awarded today students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and thanked them for the effective information campaign to limit phone frauds aimed at the elderly people. During the recent weeks, students from Varna Free University have visited 20 retirement clubs in the city and talked with over 2,500 elderly people to explain how to protect themselves from phone con men. The campaign was carried out together with the Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior and the regional city council in the sea capital.
"I highly appreciate the cooperation on the prevention provided by the wonderful young people from Varna Free University. I am satisfied with their active position and their willingness to participate in the campaign," commented the Chief Commissioner Pashov. He added that over the last three weeks there has been a significant decline in phone frauds, due to the campaign carried out by students and the joint work of police and prosecutor's office in the city. The Director of the Regional Directorate invited the students of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" to take part in the new initiatives of the police in the field of crime prevention.
Dorothea Nikolaeva, chairperson of the Student Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", thanked on behalf of the students for the opportunity to work with the law enforcement and declared the readiness of the young people to support further initiatives of the Ministry of Interior.
Diplomas today were awarded to the following students:
Sali Svetoslavov, a student in "Protection of National Security"
Mihaela Milcheva - a student in "Protection of National Security"
Kiril Hristoskov - a student in "Protection of National Security",
Alexandra Vassileva - a student in the professional field "National Security"
Edze Emilova - a student in the professional field "National Security",
Alexander Pavlinov Ivanov - a Bachelor student, majoring in "Psychology" and
Dorothea Nikolaeva - a student in "Architecture" and chairperson of the Student Council.
