Students from Varna Free University met the artist Stefan Bozhkov

The third-year students majoring in Graphic Design at Varna Free University met with the distinguished Bulgarian artist Stefan Bozhkov during their studies in the course in Illustration, taught by Prof. Valeri Chakalov.
The artist shared his extensive experience and presented his project - the handmade edition 'Robert Burns' Poems and Sonnets'. Produced in a limited edition, the book impressed the students with its exquisite illustrations and carefully selected font. Bozhkov spoke about the challenges in creating such works of art and emphasized the importance of graphic design.
The meeting with the students took place on the eve of the opening of the exhibition 'Silence' - a joint project of Prof. Valeri Chakalov and Stefan Bozhkov. The opening of the exhibition will take place on March 13th, 2025 (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m. at the "Le Papillon" gallery in Varna. The exhibition can be viewed at the gallery on 12 Dragoman Street in Varna, and also online at artpapillon.com or on the Facebook page. The exhibition, which will be available until April 9th, 2025, presents the visual lyricism of two prominent artists.
Prof. Valeri Chakalov, known for his abstract-geometric compositions, uses various materials and cultural references to create a sense of contemplation and balance. In his works, the viewer discovers a connection between past and present, between movement and stillness.
Stefan Bozhkov attracts attention with his mysterious black world, in which gentle lines and symbolic forms tell stories beyond the visible. His work challenges the viewer to delve into the detail and discover the deep meaning of metaphorical images.
