Students majoring in Business Administration and Management and from the master's degree programme in Tax and Customs Control at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" - the Smolyan branch, participated in an organized training within the frames of programme of International Fair Plovdiv. They were joined by students from the Smolyan Vocational High School for Tourism and Construction "Nikola Vaptsarov". The initiative aims at expanding the skills, knowledge and attitudes that are at the center of the development of entrepreneurial culture as well as expanding knowledge in the field of investment projects.
The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anelia Parzhanova - Director of the Smolyan branch at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Sokolov - lecturer at the Smolyan branch and Chief Director of the Plovdiv International Fair.
Guest speaker of the organized training was Plamen Georgiev - director of the TD of the National Revenue Agency - Plovdiv, who emphasized the processes and trends in the work of the tax administration, as well as the special rules for VAT purposes for suppliers of goods.
Daniela Darakchieva - head of the Department of Internal Revenue Service at the Directorate "Appeals and Tax-Insurance Practice" - Plovdiv, presented to the trainees the specifics of taxation of e-commerce.
The executive director of "Drilex" AD - Yasen Azmanov joined the training programme. He introduced the participants in the training to the processes affecting the management of economic risk as an important aspect of the business strategy of any company, including the identification, assessment and reduction of risks arising from economic factors that can affect financial results and its stability.
Dr. Vasil Pavlov and Jaume Raventos Grael - chief consultant at "SIE Automotive" AD, Kingdom of Spain, presented information on the nature and practical management of investments, risk in investment activity, methods for evaluating investment projects, opportunities for their financing, including in the field of construction.
The participants in the training were given opportunities for lectures and discussions with established experts from the practice, as well as to get acquainted with the novelties and trends in agriculture, the viticulture industry and the food industry in the exhibition halls of the Plovdiv International Fair.
