Students from the 4th grade of "Nayden Gerov" Secondary School visited the Russian Centre of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" on the International Day of the Russian Language – 6 June.
The celebration began with a presentation on the important place of the Russian language in the world and especially on the Internet. Interesting facts about the life and work of the great poet and writer Alexander Pushkin were presented. Of particular interest was his tale of the fisherman and the fish that the children had to rearrange according to the chronology of the events.
During the visit, the children presented their projects, which they had prepared during the Russian language classes and demonstrated excellent knowledge.
The Chief Secretary and Head of the Russian Centre of the University Prof. Galina Shamonina, PhD spoke on the history and traditions of the Russian tea; she also showed how it is prepared and how tea has become a symbol of the Russian hospitality.
The students received certificates of achievement for excellent command of the Russian language.
