The student of the Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" Melih Nihat won first place in a competition held within the framework of the exhibition "Problems and Solutions in the Urban Environment". He was awarded a diploma and a plaque on behalf of the Mayor of Varna Blagomir Kotsev. The event, organised by Design Hub Varna with the assistance of the Municipality of Varna, the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, the Union of Architects and other partners, brought together young architects and professionals who presented innovative ideas for the development of the urban environment.
Melih Nihat is a 4
th- year student of Interior Design. He is one of the most active students at the university, a volunteer in various artistic forums and initiatives and a participant in exhibitions and expositions. Last year, Melih spent his Erasmus semester at the Turkish Nişantaşı University, where he performed brilliantly.
Melih Nihat's award was presented by Svetoslava Georgieva, Director of the Culture and Spiritual Development Directorate of the Municipality of Varna. The student was honoured for his project, which demonstrates a modern approach and creativity in the design of the urban environment, announced Asst. Prof. Eng. Maria Mateeva - lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies and representative of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" in the expert jury.
The exhibition, which took place at the Architect's House, featured students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Technical University - Varna, as well as proven professionals. It provided a platform for the exchange of ideas between different generations of designers, with the aim of finding sustainable solutions for urban spaces.
The exhibition "Problems and Solutions in the Urban Environment" emphasises the importance of innovative ideas for sustainable development and encourages young talents to actively participate in the transformation of the modern city. Melih Nihat's success is further proof of the high level of training and creativity at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
