SOLEMN GRADUATION CEREMONY AT THE SMOLYAN BRANCH OF VFU

A solemn ceremony for the awarding of diplomas for higher education of the Class of 2023 of the Smolyan Branch of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" gathered representatives of the local and executive authorities, business and the academic leadership of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" in the Bulgaria hall of the University Branch in the town of Smolyan.
Guests of the celebration were Yani Yanev - Vice President of Varna Free University and the Deputy Rector - Assoc. Prof. Eleonora Tankova, PhD, as well as Zahari Sirakov - Regional Governor of Smolyan Region, Dimitar Katsarov - Chairman of the Municipal Council - Smolyan, Mariana Tsekova - Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Smolyan, Milen Zhurnalov - Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Smolyan, Nikola Zapryanov - Head of the Regional Department of Education in Smolyan, Nadezhda Goranova - Director of "Ivan Vazov" Language School - Smolyan, Senior Commissioner Tsvetan Tsankov - director of the District Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior - Smolyan, Tanyo Karamanolov - director of the of the Territorial Directorate of the National Revenue Agency - Smolyan, Valentin Gadzhev - director of the Territorial Department of the Regional Social Security Administration - Smolyan, ch. inspector Vasil Valchev - head of the Regional Office "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population".
Diplomas were awarded to 140 graduates in National Security Protection, Business Administration and Management, Construction of Buildings and Structures, Water Supply and Sewerage, as well as graduates from the master's programmes in Tax and Customs Control, European Administration and project management, Water supply and Sewerage. An address on behalf of the graduating students was delivered by Stoyanka Georgieva - one of the honour students of the Class of 2023.
