Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova - head of the Legal Sciences Department at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" was awarded an honorary citizenship of the Municipality of Kozloduy. This happened at an official meeting of the Municipal Council, which was held on the city's holiday a day ago. The youngest law professor in Bulgaria was born in the town by the river Danube.
Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova has an impressive biography, a large part of which is related to nuclear energy. At VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" she defended a dissertation on the topic "Improving the Legal Framework for Radioactive Waste Management in the Republic of Bulgaria". Her habilitation work is dedicated to the legal regulation of risk in nuclear energy. Her interests in the field are related to her 10-year experience as a legal consultant in the state enterprise Radioactive Waste. Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova is a member of the International Association of Nuclear Law "Association internationale du droit nuclearaire" which has headquarters in Brussels. She is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Bulgaria, as well as the International Institute of Internal Auditors in the USA. She participates in the Association Women in the Nuclear Industry - Bulgaria and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Scientists in Varna. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Russian, having defended her foreign language qualifications in front of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has a diploma in legal French, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain, the British Council and the University of Cambridge.
Prof. Borisova has had many years of teaching experience at Varna Free University. Since 2020, she is the head of the Legal Sciences Department at the Faculty of Law.
