Our golden girl Polina Galinova, majoring in Psychology at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", won a gold medal in the 29th edition of the Kickboxing World Cup tournament in Budapest.
Polina Galinova performed brilliantly in the women's weight class up to 56 kg in the K-1 style. In her first match, she won a victory over her competitor from Polan; in the semi-final she eliminated a Finnish player; in the final she did not leave any hopes to another representative from Poland.
Poli continues to impress us with her achievements on the international kickboxing scene. In April,
she won first place at the European Kickboxing Cup, held in Plovdiv, where in the final she won a victory over a competitor from Hungary in the weight class of up to 60 kg, K-1 style. She is a bronze medalist at the World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal in November 2023 and a two-time World Junior and a cadet kickboxing champion. Polina is the Balkan vice-champion from the international tournament "Balkan Best Fighters" in the Serbian city of Jagodina in December 2020 and the national champion in low kick style kickboxing in the weight class of up to 56 kg from the State Championship in Varna in 2021.
Since 2016, Polina Galinova has been part of the Bulgarian national kickboxing team.
Polina Galinova is not only an outstanding athlete, but also an excellent student majoring in Psychology at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", with numerous university awards.
She is a competitor and coach in Sport Club 'Shumenska Krepost', where her father, Galin Metodiev, is a coach.
