Education is a process, and success is often the result of the pursuit of knowledge and development. One such example is Pavel Gudzherov, mayor of Rakovski Municipality, who, despite his responsibilities, continues to invest in his education. He is currently a fourth-year student in Construction of Buildings and Facilities at the Faculty of Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". For him, this is his second higher education, after previously obtaining a qualification as a construction technician.
In an interview with the Stroitel newspaper, Pavel Gudzherov said that his desire to go deeper into construction science was the main motive for choosing this major. He emphasized the high academic level of Varna Free University and the professionalism of the lecturers who taught in Construction of Buildings and Facilities. Among them are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Daria Mihaleva, head of the department, as well as Assoc. Prof. Ivan Pavlov and Assoc. Prof. Nelly Trizlova, who teach one of the most important and challenging disciplines – Statics. These specialists contribute not only to the preparation of students, but also to the high value of the diplomas that the university awards to future engineers, said Gudzherov.
The Construction of Buildings and Facilities major at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" offers a modern and practically oriented approach to engineering education. Students are given the opportunity to train in real projects, apply what they have learned in practice and develop valuable contacts in the professional sphere. This balanced model of education prepares highly qualified specialists who are competitive in the construction sector.
The story of Pavel Gudzherov is an example of lifelong learning and proof that it is never too late to expand your knowledge and improve your qualifications. In him, Varna Free University sees inspiration for everyone who believes that success is achieved with perseverance and the pursuit of knowledge.
