Three lecturers from the Department of Arts at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" are taking part in the fifth edition of the prestigious International Academic Exhibition, organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts at Maltepe University, Istanbul. The online exhibition includes works by Prof. Valeri Chakalov - lecturer in composition in visual arts and illustration, Assoc. Prof. Viktor Petkov - lecturer in graphic design and Ani Dimitrova - lecturer in fond. They are also the only Bulgarians included in the exhibition.
The prestigious forum is part of an initiative launched in 2017 and provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and creative experience. The exhibition collects works by prominent art and design lecturers from different countries and this year is dedicated to the theme 'Existence/Absence. The Faculty of Fine Arts at Maltepe University strengthens the connections between different disciplines by integrating an interdisciplinary approach in education.
Graphic design education at Varna Free University is taught by distinguished lecturers with international experience and experts in the field, who actively participate in exhibitions, competitions and prestigious forums. This gives students the opportunity to learn from leading professionals in the field, acquire practical skills and participate in national and international artistic performances.
Varna Free University is a long-standing partner of Maltepe University, with over 15 students and lecturers having spent Erasmus mobility periods at the leading Istanbul university in recent years, promoting the international exchange of knowledge and good practices in the field of art and design.
