The innovative project "Cyber magicians" - an idea of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Black Sea Academy of Security was launched in different schools in Varna. Israeli-based training adapted to local needs with the help of experts from Varna Free University aims to protect students against threats and cyber bullying on the Internet, to provide a model for problem solving and to teach children how to use the network securely and safely. The project is implemented with the support of the Education and Youth Activities Department of Varna Municipality.
"The children, their teachers and the headmasters of the educational institutions are really interested in the training. Threatening messages and emotional harm from the Internet in various forms are being discussed," said Prof. Dr. Teodora Bakardzhieva, according to who the project of VFU" Chernorizets Hrabar" is extremely needed and of particular importance for the protection of adolescents, especially after the case in Plovdiv.
"Children are one of the most vulnerable groups that can be affected by the dangers on the Internet," said the national security expert from Israel, Vladimir Bronfenbrenner. He added that a very good security system has been set up in his country, which is now also applied in European countries.
Specially prepared resources are provided to schools, and parents will be introduced to them.
