LEADING LECTURERS PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY

In Russia, 2021 has been proclaimed a year dedicated to St Alexandar Nevsky - patron of Emperor Alexandar II and heavenly patron of the Russian diplomacy. On this occasion, at the beginning of the month in the Museum The Patriotic War of 1812 in Moscow, an international conference was held, attended by a Bulgarian delegation - historians and political scientists from Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia universities.  

Prof. Ivo Hristov delivered one of the most impressive plenary reports. The report of Prof. Rumyana Mihneva, D.Sc. dedicated to the genesis and traditions of the Russian diplomatic school aroused great interest. A report dedicated to the Tatar-Mongol invasion was presented by Prof. A. Nikolov. Assoc. Prof. V. Kolev and Assoc. Prof. Hr. Berov acquainted the participants with the history of the construction of the temple-symbol of our capital Sofia - St Alexandar Nevsky. The visit included a discussion with specialists in Bulgarian studies at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as a meeting with the director of the History of the Fatherland Fund and the Russian Historical Society. The talks were held in a constructive spirit and were an expression of the awareness that scientists have a serious responsibility to society, especially in times of crisis. The events were attended by the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Russia HE Atanas Krastin and the advisor on culture and education D. Parusheva.
