17 June 2019
The Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna (RAPIV) launched the project "Bulgaria Against Aggression in Sports 2019", Contract 25-00-30/06.06.2019. It is financially supported by the National Program for the Implementation of Youth Activities under Art. 10a of the Gambling Act 2019, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bulgaria. The project "Bulgaria: Against Aggression in Sports 2019" aims to build skills for socially responsible behavior in 30 young sports journalists and athletes aged up to 29 who are directly or indirectly associated with various forms of aggression and to recognize the types of addictions. A forum will be held for journalists and athletes with the participation of prominent speakers from the country and abroad, including professors from Varna Free University. During the meeting, the participants will also play a football game in which they will demonstrate fair play and solidarity. The campaign will be supported by information materials and social networking messages. The project will raise young people's awareness of dealing with risky situations when there is pressure from the surrounding environment and recognition of risk factors which lead to different types of aggression and addictions. It will encourage responsible behavior in young people, reduce aggression, and create conditions for reinforcing motivation to prevent risky situations.
