LAW GRADUATE OF VFU TAKES PART IN THE SUMMER ACADEMY OF EUROPEAN AND COMPARATIVE PRIVATE LAW IN SALZBURG

Tansu Osman - a Law graduate of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" took part in the Summer Academy of European and Comparative Private Law, which was held in Salzburg, Austria. She represented the university during the event, which is being organized for the 23rd year in a row by the Academy of European Private Law, in collaboration with the Faculty of Law at the University of Salzburg and leading universities from around the world. The participation of the graduate in the prestigious forum was supported by the academic management of the university, the Faculty of Law and the Student Council of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Tansu was one of the six young Bulgarian lawyers chosen to go to Austria. She was selected because of her excellent academic grades, her participation in numerous conferences, as well as her excellent command of English, German and French. During the Summer Academy, she attended the lectures of world-class leading lawyers, including Supreme Court judges - Lord Thomas (former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales), Matthias Neumeier (Judge from the Supreme Court of Austria), Inetta Zimmele (Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of Latvia), Prof. Dr. Pascal Pichonnaz (President of the European Institute of Law and Head of the Department of Private and Roman Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Friborg), Prof. Dr. Wolfram Buchwitz (acting judge and lecturer at the University of Würzburg), Prof. Dr. Eric van den Hout (lecturer at the Free University of Brussels), practicing lawyers from different countries, etc.
"Meeting some of the most authoritative names in the legal field gave me new ideas, which I plan to develop in my doctoral studies here - at Varna Free University", said Tansu Osman.

For Tansu, Alma Mater is not only Varna Free University, but also the University of Cologne, where she studies Business Administration. In Germany, she defended her master's degree in Strategic Management and Business Consulting. In 2022, she was elected as a legislative assistant to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, and a month ago, the graduate of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" ranked in the TOP 3 at the National Student Conference "Economic Prospects and Challenges for the Eurozone and Bulgaria". Tansu Osman, who is the winner of the Class of 2022, runs her own company that deals with consulting and translation activities.
