International Scientific Conference entitled The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Balkans begins at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"

The International Scientific Conference entitled The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Balkans will be held at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on 21 and 22 June 2019. Organizer and host of the event is the Faculty of Law at the University. The beginning of the plenary session is at 10:30 am on Friday - 21 June, at the University's Educational and Sports Complex.
Leading scientists from the country and abroad will discuss issues related to the legal problems of economic relations as well as issues related to national security and scientific diplomacy in the Black Sea region. The annual 18th International Scientific Conference entitled Applied Psychology - Possibilities and Prospects - the largest forum in the field of psychological knowledge, will be held within the framework of the event.
As special guests of the International Conference, two deputy ministers are invited. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Assoc. Prof. Petar Nikolov and the Deputy Minister of Justice - Prof. Nikolay Prodanov as well as rectors and professors from universities in Bulgaria and abroad.
The conference will be opened with a plenary report on "Challenges to the Labour and Education Market", which will be delivered by Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. - Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The Rector of Varna Free University Prof. Petar Hristov will present the report "The Balkan Risky Society as an Organized Irresponsibility", and Prof. Lyudmil Georgiev, PhD, a lecturer at VFU and a specialist in the field of Psychology of Religions and Comparative Cultural Psychology, will present the theme "Challenges to Balkan Cultural and Ethnic Traditions".
The International Scientific Conference entitled The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Balkans will continue in three panels:
• Section of Legal Issues of the Economic Relations in the Black Sea Region - with a series of reports, in the light of Bulgaria's rotating presidency of the Organization for Black Sea Economic Cooperation. Topics related to the legal framework of lobbyism in Bulgaria (report by Yani Yanev - VP of VFU), commercial and civic competence, studying the electronic traces of cybercrime, the effects of digitalisation on contemporary crime, etc. will be discussed. The moderator of the panel will be Assoc. Prof. Yuliana Mateeva, PhD - Head of the Department of Law at VFU.
• Section of National Security and Scientific Diplomacy in the Black Sea Region
• Section of of Applied Psychology - Possibilities and Prospects, which will cover topics related to the contemporary psychological knowledge, the impact of the socio-economic conditions on the human psyche and the possibility of better mental health of the society. The report of Prof. Milyana Markovich of the Belgrade University is expected with a particular interest. On 22 June at 2:00 pm, a master class in Psychoanalysis and Psychosomatics will be held by Dr Irina Mihailoshina - a certified specialist at the European Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, coordinator of the Crisis Centre of the Ukrainian Association of Psychoanalysis, lecturer at the International Institute of Depth Psychology.
Student scientific developments will also be presented at the conference. Some of them are on young people's perceptions of social phenomena - radicalism and violent extremism.
The Faculty of Law at holds annually the Summer Scientific Session, which contributes to maintaining the intensity of scientific communications, scientific cooperation and exchange, stimulates the research activities and the publicity activity of lecturers, PhD students and students of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and others participants.
