HRISTINA HINEVA WAS AWARDED THE ANNUAL EXCELLENT STUDENT AWARD OF VARNA MUNICIPALITY

Hristina Hineva - a second-year student in the professional field "Economics" at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", was awarded the Annual Excellent Student Award of the Municipality of Varna. This happened at an official ceremony yesterday, at which the Mayor Ivan Portnich presented the prestigious awards to the students. The nominations are made by the student councils of the universities for their colleagues who have won awards in various national and international forums and are further discussed by the Municipal Council.
Christina is majoring in two specialties at the same time at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" - she is a first-year student in "Finance and Accounting" and a second-year student in "International Economics Relations". She achieved excellent results previous academic year. During the academic 2020/2021 year, she took partt in the International Online Conference of Young Scientists, dedicated to the consequences and challenges of overcoming the crisis caused by COVID-19. Her paper was scientifically peer-reviewed, approved and published in an electronic journal of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
"It is wonderful that every year we have the opportunity to congratulate young people from Varna universities for their success in various fields of science. This means that Varna successfully defends its name as an attractive international educational center and city of knowledge. Education is always priority number 1 in the work of the municipality, because we are convinced that this is the most meaningful investment that guarantees future and development - both for young people and for our city, " said the Mayor.
The celebration, which took place in the Yunashki salon, was attended by Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina, Secretary General of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", Tsvetan Mitev - Chairperson of the Student Council at the University, Lilia Hristova, Director of "Education and Youth Activities" in Municipality of Varna and representatives of the higher education schools in Varna.
