More than 100 students and lecturers from different universities, experts, financiers, journalists and managers listened to the public lecture Prof. Dr. Daniela Bobeva taught. The lecture was dedicated to the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria "What We Will Gain and Lose from the Adoption of the Euro in Bulgaria" which took place on Friday afternoon. The lecture was received with great interest and the participants asked a lot of questions. Prof. Bobeva presented an analysis of the impact of the European currency on the Bulgarian economy, how its introduction will affect the consumer basket, whether prices will rise, whether the quality of life will improve.
Daniela Bobeva is a professor and lecturer in international economics and finance. He has been teaching at Varna Free University for two years. Her professional experience is mostly in the banking and financial sector - she was a director at the BNB for 12 years. She was Vice President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank. She has also worked as a consultant for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development - OECD, Paris. In 1997 she was Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Cooperation in the caretaker government and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Development in the period 2013-2014.
She has over 140 publications, most of them in the field of Economic and Monetary Union, the euro zone, the convergence and the adoption of the euro.
