GREAT INTEREST IN THE EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO 1135 FROM THE SPEAD OF THE ALPHABET IN BULGARIA

The exhibition presented by the University Library and dedicated to 1135 from the beginning of the spread of the alphabet in Bulgaria by the disciples of St Cyril and St Methodius - Clement, Gorazd, Nahum, Angelarius and Sava. The exposition was visited by the leadership and guests of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".

One of the most interesting exhibits in it are the phototype editions of the Bulgarian Revival newspapers – Nezavisimost  and Svoboda from 1873, Tsarigradski Vestnik from 1862, Den from 1876 and others. They show what the periodical looked like more than 150 years ago on 11 May.

The exhibition also includes various scientific works and fiction dedicated to the work of Cyril and Methodius and their disciples.

It will be on display in the reading room of the library until 24 May.
