Polina Galinova – a student majoring in Psychology at Varna Free University, won the first place at the European Kickboxing Cup that took place yesterday in Plovdiv. In the final, Polina defeated the competitor from Hungary, in the category up to 60 kg, style K-1.
In the last European Kickboxing Cup of the year, 110 teams from 21 took part, with a total of 1953 entries.
Our Polly is a bronze medallist at the World Kickboxing Championship in Portugal, November 2023. She is a two-time World Junior and Cadet Kickboxing Champion. In December 2020, she became the Balkan vice-champion in the international kickboxing tournament "Balkan best fighters" in the Serbian city of Jagodina, and in March 2021 she won her first national kickboxing championship. Polina won the gold at the State Kickboxing Championship in the "low kick" style up to 56 kg, which was held in Varna, 2021.
Since 2016, she has been part of the Bulgarian national kickboxing team.
Polina Galinova is an excellent student, with numerous university honours. She is an athlete and coach in "Shumenska krepost" sports club, and her coach is her father Galin Metodiev.
