FOUR FASHION DESIGN STUDENTS GO ON A 6-MONTH INTERNSHIP IN MILAN

Four students majoring in Fashion Design at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" are going on a 6-month internship in Milan. They have been invited by Suitex Italy with a training contract, after their brilliant presentation at the TexTailor Expo, which took place at the International Fair in Plovdiv. These are the students Halil Duraliyev, Nia Dimitrova, Stefani Kamenova and Plamena Viareal.
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was among the exhibitors at the international fashion forum TexTailor Expo 2022, in which Bulgaria, Germany, India, Italy, Romania and Turkey participated. The guests and visitors were from over 20 countries - Austria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, USA, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Romania, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sweden.
At the university's stand, the visitors had the opportunity to meet the talented students and lecturers of the Fashion Design major.
Several days followed, full of unique inspiring meetings: participation in a design workshop conducted by the leading fashion ace Ivan Donev; exciting meetings with world designers and manufacturers of the most modern textiles; participation in master classes and a meeting with Giuseppe Fata - a world icon in the fashion industry and winner of the Dubai Oscar. The top fashion designer, who sculpts head accessories similar to picturesque sculptures, works in collaboration with fashion houses such as Valentino, Fendi, Armani, Versace, Cavali .
On the last evening, the university was presented with a fashion show, including designs of 3rd- and 4th-year students majoring in Fashion Design. They showed their clothing modeling and moulage assignments in the design and booth.
Among the finalists of the competition for young designers "TAILOR YOUR MIND" were three graduates of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". Desislava Veselinova, Nia Dimitrova and Halil Duraliyev presented their finished designer mini collections inspired by caring for the environment and people. The apotheosis, after the fashion show of the finalists from the competition, were the awards from foreign companies.
Startups were also presented within the framework of the exhibition. Recently graduated fashion designers in Fashion Design Stephanie Kamenova Stephanie Kamenova, Nia Dimitrova NIUSKA and Plamena Villareal - AndyVil also presented their latest collections at stands that enjoyed great interest, say students who participated in the forum.
The grand prize - a 6-month internship at Suitex Italy with a training contract in Milan - went to Halil, Nia, Stephanie and Plamena. Awards from EMR Fermuar Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti and Eurodesign bag with materials and a voucher were given to Desislava, Halil, Stephanie and Nia.
The guides of the journey in fashion were Viktor Petkov, PhD, Diana Miteva and Assoc. Prof. Kapka Manasieva, PhD, who introduced interested visitors to the latest educational and creative practices in the field of arts at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
