CHARLES III MET STUDENTS FROM VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" SAID YANI YANEV
13 November 2022
Britain's King Charles III will celebrate his 74th birthday tomorrow - November 14th! But do you know that His Majesty met with students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar"?
This happened almost 20 years ago - in March 2003. Then the heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, spoke with five graduates from VFU "Chernorizets Hraber" during his visit to the Euxinograd residence. The students, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova - Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration, talked with the Crown Prince about their upcoming visit to the Coventry University under the trans-national cooperation programme Without Borders.
What happens during a royal visit and what are the major moments in the diplomatic protocol, which are observed when organizing a visit of a head of state or a monarch, tells us Yani Yanev - vice president of Varna Free University. Back in 2003, Mr. Yanev coordinated the prince's visit to the territory of Varna region, as a regional governor (2001 - 2005), he is also the chairperson of Varna Free University Association.
The story is extremely interesting!
Do not miss it!
Footage from Mr. Yanev's personal archive was used.
