The Career Day at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" plays an important role in the career development of students, providing them with the opportunity to get to know leading companies and employers and to find suitable opportunities for internships and work. This event is also a valuable experience for building a network of connections with the business environment and broadening the professional perspectives of the students.
Partnership with business enables the university to provide up-to-date educational programmes that meet the needs of the labour market and prepare students for successful careers after graduation.
The participation of students in practical training in companies and institutions plays a key role in their professional orientation and future professional realization.
Data from a survey conducted at the end of 2023 at the university, in which 1,207 students, 944 mentors - representatives of training organizations and 34 academic mentors - lecturers at VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” participated, deserve attention:
● 99.8% of the surveyed students are satisfied with their participation in their student placements;
● 94.7% have acquired new practical knowledge and skills and quickly adapted to the work environment;
● 70.7% believe that the knowledge they receive at the university in the studied specialty is sufficient for carrying out practice in a real working environment;
● 17.3% of the students out of a total of 1,207 included in the project received a job offer in the training organization after completing the internship;
● mentors are satisfied with 99.9% of all practical trainings conducted, which total 1,207.
● 91% of all mentors would offer a job to the interns after completing the project, which is an excellent certificate for the students' academic preparation, their personal qualities and professional competences;
● 98% of academic tutors claim that practice supports the learning process and development of the student's potential.
