BLACK SEA SECURITY ACADEMY AT VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WILL CONDUCT TRAINING ON PREVENTION AGAINST CYBER BULLYING OF CHILDREN

More than 200 head teachers of educational and children's institutions, teachers and psychologists will participate in the four-day seminar Cyberprotectors, dedicated to protecting children in cyberspace. The event will be held from 4 to 7 October in Varna and will be led by Vladimir Bronfenbrenner - Israeli national security expert and secretary general of the Black Sea Security Academy at Varna Free University.
 
The training was organised by the Black Sea Security Academy at VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar”, with the financial support of the Municipality of Varna.
 
During the seminar, Vladimir Bronfenbrenner will present methodology and materials developed in Israel - the country-leader in the protection of children in the online environment, which has the lowest percentage in the world of injured children on the net. The expert will talk about the effective methods of combating cyberbullying against children, give specific recommendations and explain the important role of the school in this process.


The Cyberprotectors programme aims to raise the awareness of the general public and serve as a source of information in the field of prevention of cyber bullying against children online. With the help of recommendations developed by leading Israeli specialists, for both children and their parents, to allow adolescents to use the Internet as safely as possible and to reduce cases of psychological harassment in cyberspace.
 
The programme in Bulgaria was created by Vladimir Bronfenbrenner in 2019, and from November 2021 it has been implemented in partnership with the Agency for the Protection of Children in Cyberspace - Israel.
